I would like to thank HAB and Hannahs Help for your very generous support in helping with my sons music activity. After five years of being bullied through primary school and then on occasion through secondary school it is amazing to watch him stand up and sing, play guitar; it leaves me feeling so very proud and in awe of him. He is not particularly confident in day to day life, and gets quite anxious about every day stuff, so to see the transformation when he's doing something he loves is utterly amazing. Life has dealt us some pretty naff cards this year and the thought that I would have to tell him I couldn't afford to continue to pay for this activity for him was very upsetting. It takes a lot to ask for help, but when it concerns your kids then you do whats right. You made that possible. Thankyou x
After being bullied from the first day of school my son was hoping that going to his new school would be a new start. How wrong can we be! Instead of getting better things got worse. Instead of being a happy lil man my poor son threatened to kill himself because he just couldn't take anymore. I bet you are all saying well what did I do to sort it out? Every year I would go to the school and talk to the teacher and the head but to no avail. I was promised they would stop it but it never was. You see bullies are sneaky and sly and always do their worst when nobody is watching. Guess what? Teachers won't do anything unless they see it! My son was a mess by then. It was breaking my heart to watch. I wanted a few minutes on my own with these bullies. Not possible. Then out of our fog of unhappiness came Harborough against bullying and the team. I can't explain quite how it felt to be told that we are not alone. They have helped both my son and myself. Not only were they there when no one else was but because of them my son is now getting the help he so desperately needs and hopefully in time he will hold his head up high and realise that he is the special boy that we all know he is and actually believe it. There are always bullies wherever you go but if you believe in yourself then there's nothing that they can do to you. Thanks to Marie and the crew of Harborough against bullying I know that my darling son will get to that point and I can't thank them enough for being there for us and helping as they have. Thank you from the bottom of my heart xxxxx
